The narration of " الشؤمُ فی المرأةِ و الفَرَسِ و الدّارِ " is a famous narration that evokes the ominous idea of women. This narration is attributed to the Prophet (PBUH) in the Sunni sources, and in the Shia narrative sources, it is sometimes narrated from Imam Sadiq (PBUH) and sometimes from the Prophet (PBUH). The present study analyzed the ominous idea of women and the narratives associated with it by using the descriptive-analytical method and relying on library sources. And it has come to the conclusion that part of these narrations, which are considered as " Basic narrations" in promoting the ominous image of women, were formed in the context of Medina. And some famous scholars of Madinah have played an essential role in promoting them. The loneliness of the first narrators in narrating this narration and their content conflict with the generous attitude of the Qur'an and the Prophet (PBUH) towards women are proofs of the fabrication of these narrations. There are also a number of scattered narrations that are based on " Basic narrations " and are considered as a reaction to this impression. These reactions can be classified into four categories: conditional reactions, explanatory and explanatory reactions, confrontational-corrective reactions, and confrontational-denial reactions. The historical and linguistic analysis of these narrations shows that they are later than the first category of narrations.
