Abstract

Prosodic features are phonetic signs that are mutually related to the meaning of the word. Just as those characteristics can be obtained from the meaning, the meaning is also better received by using these elements. Although the Holy Quran has been provided to us in the form of a text, but since it is a deliberate speech, its meanings can certainly be effective in restoring the prosody features of its verses. Understanding and using these features can mutually affect the speaker's intended meaning. This library research was done with the descriptive-analytical method. The Holy Quran has been provided to us in the form of a text, but it is in the language of the Prophet's people. For this reason, it is possible to recover the prosody features in this sacred text. Considering the strong relationship between the mentioned features and the meaning of the word, in this article, examples of Quranic propositions at the sentence type were examined. This study was based on the definitions and linguistic coordinates of the prosody features Including "stress", "tone" and "pause". In pronouncing a word or phrase, one or more syllables are pronounced more prominently. This special attribute, that is, syllables, causes the parts of speech to separate from each other, and it is called "stress". Stress on the word is usually discussed in the issue of reciting the Qur'an and from a musical and artistic point of view.
