Having mainly been created in Kūfa, the Shī‘a ḥadīth heritage was conveyed to Qum in third/eight century. Some dignitaries from among the chief masters (mashāyikh) of Kūfa and Qum have played a role in this heritage conveyance. According to Najāshī and Shaykh Ṭūsī, Ibrāhīm b. Hāshim was the first person who proselytized the Kūfa heritage. However, based on the information extant in the indexes (fihrist) of Shaykh Ṭūsī and Najāshī, the Kūfa heritage had been conveyed to Qum through others before Ibrāhīm b. Hāshim, too. Introducing the scholarly figures and the endeavors that any of the ḥadīth masters have made in conveying the Kūfa heritage, this heritage
indicates that Ibrāhīm b. Hāshim, although is not the first conveyer of the Kūfa heritage to Qum, can be introduced as its first proselytizer in Qum; and this claim by the Imāmī companions in Baghdad conforms to the information extant in other fihrist books.
